Builder Bob the builder has hired a new designer to help his firm with construction projects.
The builder told NDTV that he has always been “a bit of a perfectionist” but the “principles” he has learnt in his past few years of work have helped him “to understand the world a little better”.
“It was important for me to take the time to understand the processes and what the client is going through, the problems, the solutions and how to be a better team.
So, I’ve been working with a new guy,” he said.
Bob’s new hire is a senior associate at Terracinusis Architects, the company that has been responsible for the building of the country’s first skyscraper, Terracina Tower, which was completed in December 2019.
“I think it was the right decision for me, because I’m a perfectionistic person, I don’t really give a damn about the client.
I’m more about the project, and the client needs to see me in a positive way.
It’s the same for Bob,” said the architect.
Bob, who is also known as Bob the architect, said that he decided to go for a more “open approach” to his work and decided to build the building himself.
“We’ve always been a bit of perfectionists, and it’s not the first case I’ve had.
But, now, I think I can learn a lot about what is wrong with a project from the client, from me, and from the company,” he added.
“The thing that I’m most proud of is that we have a project that can be scaled up and down.
That’s the best way I can tell you,” he remarked.
Terraciniis, which is based in Mumbai, said it has hired another junior designer, Gyan Bhattacharya, to help with the new design.
Bhattamarya, who also has an architecture degree, will work closely with the architect to ensure that the building’s facade meets the clients’ requirements.
The new hire will be responsible for overseeing the construction of the tower and other elements.
