Jayce has been given the chance to start the 2018 World Cup and return to form after suffering a serious knee injury during a friendly against Germany.
Jayce’s return to fitness comes just three weeks after his World Cup campaign was marred by an ACL tear and he was left out of World Cup group stages.
He is hoping to have a strong 2018 and hopes to help Brazil achieve their ultimate goal of qualifying for the 2018 Olympics.
“I think I can be a very positive force in Brazil,” he told the Associated Press news agency.
“If you look at the group stage I was really close, I had the opportunity to score against Spain, but it was not the best game for me, it was really difficult for me.”
Jayce, 26, was part of Brazil’s winning side at the Confederations Cup in South Africa and is set to play in the 2019 World Cup.
“Brazil has always been one of my favourite teams,” he said.
